Premier Tech’s expertise leads to high performance

SIA Unguri is a Latvian peat moss and peat block producer that is managing a total area of about 1000 ha of peatlands. Back in 2004, we purchased a Two-Head Vacuum Harvester from Premier Tech's Industrial Equipment Group (IEG) to replace the older European models that we owned. Over the next two years, we also bought a few other Vacuum Harvesters as our production was growing. We kept on buying several units because we were very satisfied with the equipment’s performance.

At the moment, we have a total of seven Two-Head Vacuum Harvesters from IEG, which are performing very well. In 2006, we elaborated a project to build a new factory. Already knowing IEG’s capability to provide us with a complete range of peat moss processing equipment, we decided to come to Canada and visit its facilities as well as its sister company's (Premier Tech Horticulture) facilities and peat bogs. We were impressed, and they really helped us choose the best equipment to fit our needs. Shortly after the visit, we ordered the EM-2000 Mega Baler. A Premier Tech technician came to install it in February 2007. After a few start-up and learning problems, together, we finally fine-tuned the Mega Baler, which now gives us absolute satisfaction. The Mega Bales have definitely contributed to the success of our company. Our customers love the perfectly stable bales (for shipping and storage), the uniform square shape and the fact that the bales always contain the volume expected.

In the future, we plan to buy a four-station baler from IEG to get a wider range of packing possibilities.

Finally, I want to say thank you for your assistance. We wish you all the best for the future.
