To expand production, improve hygiene, and offer a wider range of packaging—from 1 kg bags to 30-ton bulk deliveries—the Peterschmitts partnered with Premier Tech for a cutting-edge bagging and palletizing line. Story

Moulin Peterschmitt, an iconic flour mill in Alsace, has built its success on blending family heritage with modern-day innovation. Now managed by Marc, Luc, and Daniel—the seventh generation—the company faced a new challenge: their 12-year-old bagger couldn’t keep up with rising demand or today’s strict hygiene requirements. The variety of bag sizes needed for their diverse customer base added to the complexity, and strict pallet specifications were a must for efficient truck loading and market competitiveness.

To solve these challenges, the Peterschmitts partnered with Premier Tech for a turnkey bagging and palletizing solution. The new OML Series (formerly OMLH BF) open-mouth bagger, featuring bottom-up filling, and the APC Series (formerly CPL) compact bag palletizer exceeded expectations. Bagging output instantly doubled from 5 to 10 tons per hour, providing the flexibility needed to handle any customer order, from 10-kg to 50-kg bags all the way to bulk truckloads. Dust and contamination were dramatically reduced, helping the mill comply with the highest food safety standards.

Automation now allows the team to prepare five to six pallets in advance, without any need for human intervention, streamlining production and ensuring perfectly stable, size-compliant pallets.
