1989

Premier Tech Systems and Automation: Built to solve a problem. Built to share the solution

When existing machinery couldn't meet our own peat moss baling needs, we engineered a better way. The result was so effective that we decided to bring it to the world.

1990

Beyond peat moss: A broader vision takes shape

What started as a solution for one industry quickly became a platform for many. Premier Tech expanded its expertise beyond peat moss to deliver material handling and packaging solutions across the manufacturing sector.

1997

From machines to complete lines

With the launch of the FFS-200 and AP-435, Premier Tech introduced its first integrated Form-Fill-Seal and robotic palletizing system, automating the entire back end of factory floors. A single machine was no longer the goal. A complete solution was.

2002

Chronos Richardson: A century of expertise, added to ours

Premier Tech took its first major step onto the global stage with the acquisition of Chronos Richardson, a legendary packaging company with roots in the 19th century. Overnight, we gained a century of knowledge in weighing and bagging systems for powders and granular materials, along with a strong presence across Europe and Asia.

2003

A partnership in robotics: Powering our end-of-line solutions

By joining the FANUC Authorized System Integrator program, we transformed our end-of-line packaging capabilities. Since then, we have integrated more than 1 700 FANUC robots worldwide, combining their industry-leading robotic technology with our own engineering expertise to help manufacturers maximize productivity and maintain a competitive edge.

2006

Verville: Mastering niche materials

With the acquisition of Les Machineries Verville, a respected name since 1945, we gained proprietary compression technology for wood shavings and organic fibers. By integrating their specialized Four-Station Balers and Mega Balers into our portfolio, we expanded our ability to deliver highly specific packaging solutions to the growing media industry.

2009

BTH BV: Establishing our European hub

The acquisition of Netherlands-based BTH BV transformed our European footprint. By integrating their specialized knowledge in milk powder packaging and industrial flexible packaging, we became a leading manufacturer in the region. Today, their innovative technology is fully integrated into our global product portfolio, serving customers from America to Asia.

2012

vonGAL: Setting a new standard in palletizing

With vonGAL, we added leading-edge conventional palletizing systems to our portfolio, giving our customers more performance options and greater flexibility on the line. This acquisition also marked Premier Tech's entry into manufacturing in the United States, with the establishment of our Montgomery, Alabama facility.

2015

Stonepak: Deepening our expertise in valve bagging

With roots dating back to 1901, Stonepak brought over a century of specialized knowledge in valve bagging equipment to Premier Tech. By unifying our teams and technologies, we expanded our range of innovative products and services, ensuring our customers continue to receive the same dedicated support, now backed by the global resources of Premier Tech.

2017

Slootweg: Specialized expertise for substrates and recycling

With roots dating back to the 1930s, Slootweg brought deep expertise in material processing for the substrate, wood, and recycling industries. By integrating their proven technology for mixing, screening, and conveying, we strengthened our status as a leader in industrial processing, providing our clients with robust solutions to transform raw materials into sustainable products.

2017

Prairie Engineering: Strengthening our commitment to the agricultural sector

This acquisition significantly improved our ability to serve the seed, feed, and grain industries. Following the integration, we became the exclusive North American distributor for Petkus high-end conditioning technologies, allowing us to provide specialized engineering and construction solutions designed for maximum purity and efficiency.

2018

Kockums Bulk Systems: Strengthening our expertise in bulk handling

Founded in the 1950s, this Australian leader brought nearly a century of experience in the design and supply of bulk materials handling facilities. By integrating their specialized knowledge and machine capabilities into Premier Tech, we consolidated our offering to provide a seamless experience for powder handling and industrial packaging under one name, while significantly extending our reach across Australia and New Zealand.

2019

A strategic partnership with Bühler: Leading the way in food and feed solutions

We partnered with Bühler, a global processing leader, to offer the most advanced integrated solutions on the market. By combining our industry-leading automated packaging technologies with their strong international sales network and processing expertise, we now provide food and feed manufacturers worldwide with high-end, end-to-end solutions.

2022

Founding member of HIFA

Premier Tech becomes a proud founding member of HIFA (Innovation and Advanced Training Halls), an innovation centre established in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, dedicated to skills development, smart manufacturing, and innovative packaging technologies.

2024

Launch of TOMA™

Backed by 35 years of packaging expertise and a deep understanding of UX/UI, industrial design, and smart manufacturing software, PT launched TOMA™, a cobot-powered product line that puts advanced packaging technology within reach of any operation, with a fully autonomous, do-it-yourself experience.

2026

Expanding into retail packaging

We launched the CHRONOS OMK pre-made pouch filler, marking our entry into the small-bag segment under 5 kg. This technology brings our signature engineering excellence and people-first approach to the consumer retail market, helping brands package more efficiently and effectively.
