Premier Quality Starch (PQS) has made its mark as an innovative leader in tapioca and modified starch production for Asia and beyond. But manual, semi-automatic packaging required seven operators on the bagging line, increasing both costs and the risk of contamination—a barrier to further growth and efficiency.

Taking a major step forward, PQS installed Premier Tech’s OML-1080 open-mouth bagger and RPL-1000 Series robotic palletizer. The shift to automation was initially challenging for staff, but Premier Tech’s installation and commissioning support made all the difference. Today, only one operator is needed to supervise the automated line; former bagging staff have been reassigned to other areas, making much better use of their skills.
