With more than 60 years of expertise, UFA is trusted by Swiss livestock producers for safe, sustainable animal nutrition. As production demands grew and products like sticky calf milk and the highly concentrated “top-form” specialty feed required efficient and hygienic handling, UFA’s legacy bagging system became the plant’s main bottleneck—capped at nine tons per hour and difficult to clean between runs.
Premier Tech’s solution, including the OML Series (formerly OMLBF) double spout bottom-up filler and an APC Series (formerly CPL) compact palletizer, marked a major transformation. The new dual spout system lets UFA fill two bags at once, pushing plant output to 12 tons per hour. Bag size can now be changed in only ten minutes, allowing flexible production planning. The bottom-up filler’s fine and coarse dosing screws enable precise, single-step filling without re-dosing—reducing dust and making the environment cleaner and safer.
A key gain for UFA was the ease of cleaning. The dosing tanks and screws can be quickly opened, removed, and washed—with external cleaning now taking only 15 minutes per day, even after sticky or greasy productions. Commissioning was smooth, ramp-up to full capacity was fast, and support in German was always available when needed. For UFA, it’s not just about efficiency, but also hygiene, safety, and reliable partnership.
