But with an ambitious goal of packing 500 tons of pet food a day, their old packaging section proved a bottleneck, limiting growth and threatening quality consistency.
After selecting Premier Tech for their reputation, service presence in-country, and industry references, Baires installed a fully automatic line: an OML-1170-N (formerly PTK-1700) open-mouth bagger, an APR-1150 hybrid palletizer, and a pallet wrapper. Staff training was straightforward; Premier Tech’s technical support ensured a smooth start-up and rapid adaptation to new workflows.
The automated system quickly delivered results: production soared from 350 to as much as 500 tons daily. Key quality gains included net-weight scale control—no bag released unless it meets precise weight targets—and automated label/date verification, ensuring every unit meets strict standards.
Operational improvements spurred further investment: after the first machines in 2017, Baires added a second full line in 2019. Today, with robust automation and trusted support, Baires continues to lead Argentina’s pet food market, delivering safe, consistent nutrition with confidence and efficiency.
