The PETKUS ZA Indented Cylinder efficiently sorts short and long grain and seed in one system, including fine and vegetable seed, and other free-flowing agricultural granular products.

This sorter separates seed and grain by length. It comes in four sizes with performance categories ranging from 3 to 12 t/h (based on wheat with 3% impurities). Maximum product separation quality can be achieved by adjusting the cylinder's diameter, length, speed, and flow rate.

How it works

In short grain separation, the machine removes broken grains and foreign particles from the product. Short grains are collected in cell pockets and distributed into the trough by the cylinder's rotation. A paddle auger then removes them from the machine.

Long grain separation focuses on removing only long grains and foreign particles by guiding shorter seeds out of the trough.

The ZA Indented Cylinder machine is made of painted and bolted steel sheets, fully encased for safety. The horizontal rotating cell cylinder is made of high-quality galvanized sheet steel, and the cell pockets have a specially designed "teardrop" shape to ensure the highest separation quality.
